Julia Ling is an accomplished actress, dancer, producer, and a veteran. Hiram Murray is an accomplished actor and also a Marine Corps veteran. Together they are unstoppable! Their recent project is Veteran Powered Films a production company whose mission is to empower veterans and servicemembers to create and tell their stories through film.
When military servicemen and women leave the service, they can experience a difficult transition back to civilian life. They leave behind a community and brother/sisterhood that supported them through difficult times. Veteran Powered Films aims to provide a sense of purpose and community through films made by veterans for everyone!
One thing every veteran can agree on is that Hollywood usually gets it wrong when telling stories about veterans. Hiram and Julia are driven to provide the most authentic portrayal of veterans on film because they both feel responsible for the image of what a veteran is.
After their successful short-film TANGO DOWN, they’ve started work on a full-length feature film Homestead. A new trailer of which is linked below.
